This is our second year being approved to have a Rugby intern join our club and both years have been a great success. Below is a testimonial written by some of the teachers of the grade school aged kids that this program has reached.

We were so impressed by Karli Barr and her team of volunteers- their passion to work with our students, their ability to share their knowledge about rugby, and ability to connect with each and every child that walked on the field was commendable.

They were committed to making every session both challenging and fun. The sessions were an excellent introduction to rugby. We played passing games, learned about the mechanics of rugby, participated in flag rugby and lead up games such as, cat and mouse. Each child was encouraged to try their best and take part in the activities. Our students were active and engaged for the entire time.

We would highly recommend booking the Wilmot Rugby to other schools that are interested in exploring the sport of rugby with their students.

Cathy Williams & Jennifer Hanson-Barry

A big thanks to both Melody Shantz and Karli Barr for their great work on bringing Rugby into our local schools. Great Job
